Your booking information will be forwarded to Zermatt Tourism and Bonfire AG (either by us or via our electronic booking system) and processed in particular as follows: – Collected in a central database by Zermatt Tourism and/or Bonfire AG. – Based on this data, Zermatt Tourism calculates the tourist taxes owed and handles collection from service partners. – Zermatt Tourism also reports the data to the Federal Statistical Office. – Zermatt Tourism and Bonfire AG grant the police access to the database so they can retrieve booking data in cases such as missing persons. – Zermatt Tourism uses the booking data to compile statistics (especially regarding occupancy, length of stay, number of arrivals, etc.). The legal basis for this data processing is the fulfillment of a legal obligation in accordance with Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (calculation and collection of tourist tax / reporting to the Federal Statistical Office), or the protection of a legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (granting police access / statistical collection). Your booking data will only be used for direct marketing purposes (e.g. newsletter distribution) if you have given your consent.
